We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Strategy and Business Development team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and success across our Low Carbon Solutions portfolio. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team at the intersection of clean energy technology and environmental sustainability. Your expertise will be pivotal in assessing the feasibility, financial viability, and investment opportunities within the dynamic landscape of carbon sequestration and power generation technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting decision-making processes related to project development. What you will be doing: Develop and maintain financial models for renewables, carbon sequestration and power generation projects, including revenue projections, cost analysis, and cash flow forecasting. Conduct thorough analyses to assess the costs associated with implementing carbon capture technologies and sustainable power generation methods against the expected benefits and returns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the preparation of financial reports, investment proposals, and business plans. Conduct financial analysis and evaluate the economic viability of portfolio projects by assessing key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk factors. Assist in financial due diligence, including the evaluation of project financing options and structuring. Support the negotiation and management of financial agreements, such as project financing, grants, tax incentives, and carbon credit sales. Prepare detailed financial reports, presenting key findings, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management. Stay informed about market trends, financial regulations, and policies affecting the clean energy industry and analyze potential funding opportunities, grants, or incentives available for such projects. Assist in ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as required. Required Skills What you need to be successful: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. A professional designation (CFA, CPA) is a plus. Proven experience as a financial analyst, ideally in the renewable energy or environmental sector. Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial software. Understanding of project finance, tax equity, and renewable energy financing mechanisms. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or within a team. Commitment to sustainability and a passion for driving positive environmental impact through business initiatives.
