DNV Energy Systems North America is seeking a Principal M&A Transactions with strong technical and commercial background in energy infrastructure technologies (e.g. wind, solar, storage, EV, low carbon intensity molecules, CCUS, transmission line, etc.), and/or practical experience with project financing for its Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory Services team. Our M&A team operates at the cutting edge of the renewables industry providing technical due diligence and advisory services to the most influential investors in support of M&A transactions such as purchases, sales, and refinancing of some of more complex projects and platforms. Such projects and platforms typically include multiple technologies of renewable energy generation (wind, solar, etc.) combined with battery energy storage systems. As the renewables landscape evolves, the M&A market more and more encompasses low carbon hydrogen production and storage facilities, at times combined with renewables generation behind the meter. Transmission lines, and more recently HVDC lines, offshore wind projects, CCUS facilities, EV charging infrastructure are only a handful of new technologies in the energy infrastructure mix that either are currently, or soon will be, focal points for M&A transactions. Therefore, the Principal M&A Transaction will be well versed in managing due diligence and advisory efforts on multi-technology projects with sophisticated physical and contractual interfaces requiring profound knowledge and varied skills identifying and qualifying associated complex technical risks. In this role, you will be providing project management and technical advisory services in support of M&A transactions. You will contribute to a high performing team by delivering value to customers, fostering collaboration internally, driving innovation, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. This position can be based out of any of our current advisory markets including Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; San Diego or Oakland, CA; Austin, Houston, or Dallas, TX; Medford, MA. Other locations within the continental US may also be considered. What You ll Do Lead project management and communication as the key point of contact for the successful delivery of due diligence engagements.
